The lemon-bowl technique
As always, we’d like to focus on DIY cleaning. Yes, there are some great cleaning products out there. But, part of quick cleaning is to be resourceful and there is nothing more resourceful than DIY cleaning. Today on how to clean a microwave oven we’ll learn about the lemon-bowl technique. First, fill a bowl with tap water. 3/4 of it will do it. After that, cut a lemon into 4 slices and drop them inside the bowl. Put the bowl inside for 4 to 5 minutes and that’s it. The steam will remove the grease and oil from the oven. All you have to do is scrub a little and that’s it.
Cleaning the plate
The hardest part of cleaning a microwave is getting rid of the stains and the oil inside it. However, the plate is also important. To clean it you can just wash it by hand. Yet, depending on how dirty it is you might have to call the cavalry. For that, we always use a mix of baking soda and lemon juice.
