How To Pack A Garage When Moving

As we’ve mentioned in previous posts cleaning a garage is a mess. Now imagine packing it. It can get even more tedious. The garage is the place where we put most of our things. It becomes a haven for clutter. It isn’t bad though. As long as you clean it constantly. Moving is another thing though. Moving out is already stressful. Packing it can be even more during moving day. But, today we tell you how to pack a garage when moving. Follow these tips to make your moving day a lot easier for you and your family.

Separate what you'll donate

Most of the clutter we have in the garage is what we don’t use.  Once we analyze what we have, we can check that most of it can be donated. In that case, we always recommend that before moving you make some donation boxes. Instead of throwing things away, you can always make something good out of them. Donating them is a great idea. There are a lot of donation centers that you can call to see what is needed. And in the end, everything is perfect. Everything will help.

Eliminate all that's old

Our rule of thumb is, if you haven’t used it in a year, then it goes out. Once your donation box is ready then move to things that you can’t pack.  Everything that is either too big or too old, has to go out. If you do this it’ll get a lot easier when cleaning and preparing to move. Just remember that rule of thumb when getting rid of these things.

Make a garage sale

Finally, you can make something fun out of it. And also an extra buck for the moving. Organize a garage sale. If you do it then it’ll be a great option to help others with the things you have. And as we mentioned, you can use that extra money to either get extra cleaning help or something for the new home. Either way, every option is good to take.
