Office Cleaning Checklist

There are a lot of things to organize inside the office. Depending on the industry some might be more common than others. But, what about cleaning? It is something that needs organizing as well. So, where and when to start? Well, today we have an office cleaning checklist for you! We have broken down the checklist into daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. So, read on to see what you can do for your office throughout the year.

Daily

Daily cleaning is something that becomes a routine and we don’t even see it as deep cleaning or anything. Yet, it is quite important to follow our daily cleaning tasks at all times. So, what can you do every day?

  • Empty all garbage bins
  • Vacuum the floor or carpet
  • Dust furniture and all the office equipment
  • Disinfect surfaces (mandatory today due to CDC’s recommendations)
  • Clean light switches
These tasks are easy to follow and we do them every single day. You’ll see how easy it is to do all these tasks as soon as you start working in an office.

Weekly

Now, for the weekly cleaning, we are starting to delve into deep cleaning territory. While not as deep as the one we’ll see in monthly cleaning, it is important to do it. So, for the weekly office cleaning checklist, do these:

  • Polish floors
  • Clean all windows. Especially the exterior ones
  • Clean all appliances in the kitchen
  • Clean keyboards
  • Declutter your desk
  • Scrub sinks

Monthly

And now, the final one. The monthly cleaning. While you and your employees can do these tasks, we recommend hiring a cleaning service. Deep cleaning is important and having professionals can help. But, if you want to do it, start with these tasks:

  • Clean all the upholstery in the office
  • Dust and clean hard-to-reach places
  • Declutter all the office cabinets

These tasks are not many but you have to do them. If they are done, you’ll see the difference in your office. So, remember, you can do these with your peers or hire an office cleaning service. Either option is great!
